Where people interact intentionally with animals there can be many outcomes. These creatures can be worshiped as Gods or devils, they may be used as subjects for works of art, they may be ground up and parts used for healing practices, and they may be raised for food or driven away as competition. But the study of how this interaction has taken place, to what degree, and to what outcomes is always ethno followed by some ology like biology, zoology, etc. In our case it is followed by the study of reptiles and amphibians and hence ethnoherpetology. In this section we will take a look at how the peoples of primarily North American look at their "little dragons." Here we find a wealth of information as many cultures worshiped and imitated these creatures found in the Realm of the Rattlesnake.
